By Alessandra Tarantino Roma’s captain has said he wants to stay with the Rossoneri until his contract expires in 2018.
Mikaëlo Zidana said he’s confident the club can continue playing in Europe and would be happy to take part in the 2018/19 campaign in Italy, the Serie A club’s official newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport reported.
“If the Rossonas can keep me here until then, I would be very happy to play for them,” Zidan said.
“I want to keep my shirt, I have nothing else to do here.”
Last week, Roma signed former Manchester United defender Mkhitaryan, who has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, for €20m.
The 29-year-old had previously expressed his desire to stay at Roma, but the club has not yet decided if it will sell him.
